Markus Weisbeck - ARCHIVE ANTICS

 Markus Weisbeck, a Frankfurt / Weimar-based graphic designer and art director. He founded the Design-Studio Surface in 2000 that is responsible for the Graphic Design of SAC's lecture series posters and cards as well as SAC'S Corporate Design. 

Through collaborations, curatorial projects and publications Weisbeck has developed a unique practice that expands collaborative form from a pragmatic structure of working together to the joint development of content. He has curated the Showcase of the Bauhaus University Weimar "77 Proposals" for the Kunstverein Marburg in 2013 and operating the music-artis collaboration label “Whatness".
 
His design projects include the art direction of the Museum für Moderne Kunst / Frankfurt, the Forsythe Company, the Corporate Identity for the Städel Architecture Class, Zumtobel, the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, the German Pavillion on the Venice Biennale 2007 and 2009, Manifesta7, Publication-series for Sternberg Press and many other individual Artist Books. 
Weisbeck has lectured and participated in numerous international conferences on design related subjects and has taught at various universities including the UDK Berlin, University Darmstadt the HGB Leipzig and teaches as Professor for Grafik Design at the Bauhaus in Weimar: He is frequent jury member in design competitions worldwide and parttime writer for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Frieze and Form in the topic of Grafik Design. Since 2013 he is a official member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale.

Markus Weisbeck talks about different research projects and will show realised projects in this context of Editorial and Corporate Design.
